Job Purpose: The purpose of the job is to manage the cluster Fiber rollout and operation functions, meet the mobility and enterprise services experience expectations, and deliver project and operational KPIs as per the organization's requirement. The role is responsible for increasing fiber penetration for mobility and enterprise services, managing the annual Capex & Opex forecast and control, governing the Managed Service Partner, and utilizing Fiber Capex optimally to deliver scalable fiber infrastructure with resiliencies for high network uptime.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:

  1. Increase fiber penetration for mobility and enterprise services by faster fiber rollout.
  2. Manage the annual Capex & Opex forecast and control.
  3. Govern the Managed Service Partner for own fiber as per the contractual SLA/KPI.
  4. Utilize Fiber Capex optimally to deliver scalable fiber infrastructure with resiliencies for high network uptime.
  5. Rollout OWN & IRU fiber as per AOP target. Enable new POP and NW rollout by providing new fiber pairs as per requirement.
  6. Develop and Operationalization of cluster operating model to meet organization requirement.
  7. Deliver Project & Operational KPIs and SLAs by working closely with circle teams & MS partners.
  8. Work closely with circle teams, cluster fiber Head for developing innovative & cost-effective Fiber infrastructure solutions for varied customers like TSP, OTT, smart city & govt. projects etc.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience:

  1. 12-15 years of Telecom experience in fiber Planning/Project/Operations.
  2. In-depth knowledge and experience in transport operations model, technologies such as DWDM, SDH, EoSDH, IP/MPLS, TE, QoS.
  3. Commercial and legal understanding for closure of contract and agreements with vendors to get better KPIs and cost factor advantage and also Govt. policies related to ROW.
  4. Opex cost reduction by network optimization, AMC managements, operational deployment and other means.
  5. Excellent Analytical skills, team building and interpersonal relationship skills to excel cross-functional projects and ensure the best customer experience.

Must have technical/professional qualifications: Graduate in Engineering with 10+ years of Experience.

The manager must also possess excellent analytical skills, team building, and interpersonal relationship skills to excel in cross-functional projects and ensure the best customer experience. The role requires a graduate in Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
